Organization ProfileLocated just outside historic Annapolis near the scenic Chesapeake Bay, AACC offers easy access to Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Our 230-acre Arnold campus is augmented by facilities at two other sites. Anne Arundel Community College enrolled 56,402 credit and noncredit students in 2,700 courses in fiscal year 2005. The annual operating budget exceeds $110 million.
Our award-winning programs, strong partnerships, outstanding faculty and staff and extensive community outreach contributed to our recent selection to a seat on the board of the League for Innovation in the Community College. The college has garnered other recognitions. AACC’s innovative programs received this year’s National Council for Continuing Education and Training’s Exemplary Program in Workforce Development Award, the only community college in the country college to have won this award four times. It earned the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce’s National Achievement Award in 2005 for the strategic planning that has allowed AACC to grow to meet both workforce and community needs, for its award-winning technology and for its entrepreneurship education. It was named Employer of the Year by the BWI Business Partnership in 2005.
