Job Description:

The School of Sciences and Engineering at the American University in Cairo, the Department of Construction Engineering is seeking one faculty member for appointment beginning Fall 2016 in the Construction Engineering Program at the level of assistant or associate professor.

The successful candidate will be involved in teaching and research in the field of Infrastructure Engineering. She/he is expected to teach undergraduate level courses in the areas of design and construction technology of bridges, highways, and tunnels. She/he is expected to teach graduate level courses in the areas construction technology and management of infrastructure projects.


Requirements:

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Civil or Construction Engineering. She/he should have a demonstrated track record of teaching and research in the areas of heavy and infrastructure projects. Established record in attracting funds is preferred. She/he should have solid record of professional practical experience. A professional Engineer (PE) status in North America or equivalent is preferred.


Additional Information:

A three year appointment will start Fall 2016 with evaluation after the first year. Renewal of an appointment depends upon appointee's performance.
