Established in 1791, the University of Vermont is a major research university located in the state’s largest city- Burlington - the nations “#1 Smallest Big City” and ranked #1 “for outside activities, arts & entertainment, safety, and overall quality of life.” We enjoy a progressive economy, excellent school systems, a dynamic and stimulating cultural scene, and a vibrant and diverse social life. UVM overlooks beautiful Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains and is 30 min. from major ski areas, 1.5hrs from Montréal, and 3.5 hrs from Boston.

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, exists in a stimulating academic environment within an academic health center (including the largest hospital in VT).
