The Department of Mathematics at Colgate University is accepting applications for a tenure-stream, full-time position. The position is at the level of assistant professor and begins July 1, 2010.

Job Requirements

PhD required, preferably in analysis or applied mathematics. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellence both in conducting independent research and in teaching. Teaching specialties must include numerical analysis or applications of mathematics to the physical or social sciences, and contributions to curricular development are welcome.

Colgate University is a highly selective liberal arts college with 2800 students. Faculty members teach five courses per year, including all-university programs.
