The Departments of Biology and Mathematics of Colgate University seek a tenure-stream Assistant Professor for a joint position in Biology and Mathematics to start August 2010.
The successful candidate will develop a Systems Biology course for biology and mathematics students and contribute to existing or new courses in biology or mathematics, depending upon expertise. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in university-wide programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. We are deeply committed to excellence in teaching and research, including involving undergraduates in research. The appointee will add to this effort by mentoring undergraduate research students in their area of interest.
Colgate offers excellent teaching and research facilities. Opportunities also exist to lead semester-long programs at the NIH or abroad.
