Columbia College Chicago is an urban institution of over 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students emphasizing arts, media, and communications in a liberal arts setting. The Marketing Communication Department, which offers undergraduate degree concentrations in marketing, advertising, and public relations, invites applications for a full-time, tenure track appointment in Public Relations.

The responsibilities of this position include effective teaching of students who major in marketing communication as well as students from the College's other disciplines who enroll in our marketing communication courses; active participation in College community service; student mentoring and advising; and ongoing professional development. While this position calls for an emphasis on faculty and curriculum development in the departments' public relations concentration, responsibilities also include involvement in the department's other concentrations.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have depth of knowledge and experience in integrated marketing communication overall, and in current and emerging practices in public relations. Knowledge and experience in the discipline must be accompanied by comparable or greater depth in teaching and overall pedagogical practice. The successful candidate will also have evidence of effective leadership, innovation, diversity sensitivity and global perspective. Graduate degree required.
