Chief of Pediatric Psychology

Job Responsibilities:
The Chief of Pediatric Psychology will be responsible for directing the activities and assuring accountability of Clinical Psychologists in the Department of Psychiatry whose practice is within The Children’s Hospital, the Gary Pavilion and related Psychological practice sites. The scope of practice for the chief will include administrative, research, educational and clinical leadership.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must (1) possess a PhD from an American Psychological Association approved program and be a licensed clinical psychologist and eligible for licensure in the state of Colorado; (2) demonstrate evidence of effective leadership in recognized educational, research and/or clinical programs; (3) demonstrate evidence of a strong research program with appropriate funding and publication record.(4) demonstrate evidence of effective mentoring of interns, residents, and post doctoral fellows. (5) Applicants must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have strong research, leadership and administrative skills that will enhance the Section’s vision of becoming a major research and clinical resource for Pediatric Psychology. The successful candidate will be expected to develop/sustain an independent, funded research program.
Applicants with a history of successful research program development, particularly in the area of information systems, data management and standardized assessment is preferred.
