Assistant/Associate Professor

The School of Hotel Restaurant Management at the University of South Florida provides excellence in teaching, research and service to all persons and to build foundations for lifelong learning. The School of Hotel and Restaurant Management prepares individuals for industry management and leadership roles in a global economy and interfaces with stakeholders to deliver hospitality professionals that add to the financial, intellectual, environmental, ethical and social growth of Florida and the Nation.
Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses; productivity in scholarly activities; participation in curriculum and program development; appropriate service on college/university committees. This position is located on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus. Anticipated start date is no later than August 2010.
Minimum Qualifications:
- An earned doctorate degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the hospitality discipline from an accredited university at the time of application. No ABD’s will be considered for this position.
- Evidence of strong service in professional organizations.
- Evidence of teaching excellence and an outstanding record of scholarship or evidence of an established research agenda.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience in Hospitality Information Systems and Lodging management
- Minimum of three years of hospitality industry managerial experience.
