PhD Coordinator in the Graduate Department

Wilkes University invites applicants for the position of PhD Coordinator in the Graduate Department of the Passan School of Nursing (PSON). The Ph.D. Coordinator will develop and manage the new online PhD program in nursing beginning in fall 2017.
This is a 12 month graduate nursing staff position with a major responsibility to oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of the PhD curriculum. The position requires online expertise in higher education, strong records of external peer reviewed research funding and peer reviewed publications, effective communication and computer technology skills and the ability to interface with PSON academic partners. The position will serve as a liaison among doctoral students, graduate faculty, academic partnerships and PSON administration. Responsibilities include teaching, grant writing, program development and management, faculty recruitment, mentoring, evaluation, and managing the day to day communications of graduate students.
The newly restructured PSON provides comprehensive programming which has expanded professional opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. Both the undergraduate and graduate programs are fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
The position requires a master’s degree in nursing and an earned PhD in nursing.
The candidate must have an unencumbered RN license in the state of residency and demonstrated work experience in the areas of expected expertise.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
