The appointee will be responsible to teach courses in land use planning, real estate/ land law in both face to face and distance learning modes. She/he will also be expected to contribute towards existing courses and develop new courses in the School which will be used for presentation in distance and flexible learning. The appointee will be expected to make significant contributions to all activities of the School including research administration, preparing and delivering lectures, seminars, tutorials and online teaching activities, assessing studentsí work and undertaking research and consultancy in the Land Management discipline.
The Person We Seek
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
A PhD in a relevant field;
Relevant tertiary teaching experience in the required field;
A proven record of successful teaching and course development at school and tertiary levels;
A strong record of internationally recognised research and publications.
Preference will be given to applicants with:
Professional experience, the ability to deal effectively with cultural diversity and ability to interact with and teach young people and professionals in the field.
The position is available for a term of 5 years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
Salary Range: Lecturer FJ $66, 990 to FJ $88, 144 per annum
In addition to the above benefits, the University contributes 10% of basic salary to an approved superannuation scheme, provides airfare and relocation costs where appropriate.
