Job Description

As a member of the Medical Education Team, the Director/Faculty Development will provide oversight of faculty development activities focusing primarily on those associated with improvement of teaching, assessment and evaluation skills. The Director will be expected to assist faculty in the development of educational scholarship. The Director should possess a strong understanding of instructional methodology and learning pedagogy, and be able to design and evaluate training and development programs to support faculty in the design and evaluation of quality learning experiences. Under the direction of the Associate Dean/Faculty Affairs and Development will develop, deliver and evaluate professional development activities for faculty and learners (students and residents).

Job Requirements


Master's degree in medical education, higher education, psychology or related field.
Minimum four years of relevant experience in a higher education environment.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty, administrators, and students.
Demonstrated scholarly activity, such as publication/presentation of educational and/or training materials activities.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex environment.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple and diverse stakeholders.
Organizational skills sufficient to handle multiple tasks, manage multiple projects, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity by working to develop a culture of inclusion and mutual respect.
