Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), one of the largest universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, is seeking candidates for the position of Dean of the College of Health and Human Services (HHS). The dean will be an inspiring and successful professional who will provide visionary leadership and overall academic, administrative and financial management of the College. The new dean is expected to assume office in the summer of 2019.

The College of Health and Human Services serves the public interest by providing a quality education to prepare students for applied professional disciplines. Graduates will affirm high personal and professional standards, provide leadership, and be committed to creating and advancing knowledge in their disciplines. The College of HHS is comprised of approximately 160 faculty members within nine diverse academic departments:
criminology and criminal justice
culinary arts
employment and labor relations
food and nutrition
hospitality management
human development, fashion, & interior design
kinesiology, health, and sport science
nursing and allied health professions
safety sciences

IUP's beautiful main campus, located on 374 acres in Indiana, Pennsylvania, is a combination of historical charm and state-of-the-art facilities, including 59 major buildings and 11 athletic fields. Affiliate campuses are located in Northpointe (Freeport), Pittsburgh East (Monroeville), and Punxsutawney. Indiana, Pa., located about an hour northeast of Pittsburgh, is a gem in the heart of western Pennsylvania within Indiana County. Key infrastructure connections to points in all directions make the community an ideal location to live. IUP is a significant contributor to the economic and cultural strength of the city, the region, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the nation through education, scholarship, and service.

IUP offers a rich variety of study options, including more than 140 undergraduate degree programs combining rigorous classroom work with internships, education abroad, research, and other experiential learning opportunities. Approximately 60 graduate degrees and certifications are also offered through six of the colleges, including 15 doctoral degrees. IUP is the only university within PASSHE to offer the PhD degree.
