Job Requirements

The School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution seeks highly qualified applicants whose work strengthens or complements the School's current offerings.

Candidates with expertise in any area will be considered, but particular attention will be given to scholars with a demonstrated ability to develop new and innovative pathways for conflict analysis, resolution and transformation, especially those who are able to build on, expand, or reform the existing areas of focus at the School as represented by the curriculum concentrations at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and the four research centers. Candidates having a familiarity with any aspect of Conflict Analysis and Resolution are encouraged to apply.

The School is interested in candidates who engage directly with today's real-world conflicts through intervention, advocacy, public scholarship, consultation, action research, evaluation and other forms of practice. There is no restriction on disciplinary affiliation or methodological expertise for this position. S-CAR invites applicants from any academic discipline or interdisciplinary background who can contribute to the vision for the School to promote and build on its characteristic approach to peace and conflict studies.

Central to our approach is wide diversity in scholarly standpoint, the recognition of multiple and antithetical points of view, and the inclusion of once marginalized perspectives.
