Assistant Professor(s) - Molecular Neuroscience

The Departments of Molecular and Cellular Physiology and Neurobiology at Stanford University, in partnership with the new Stanford Center for Molecular Neuroscience in Health and Disease (CMNHD), invite applications for two tenure-track positions as Assistant Professors in molecular neuroscience, broadly defined. In this position, you will enjoy dynamic colleagues and mentors in your academic department and as a member of Stanfordís CMNHD. You may also join the vibrant, multidisciplinary community of neuroscience researchers comprising the Stanford Neuroscience Institute. In this context, you will develop an outstanding neuroscience research program and contribute to the education and mentoring of the next generation of scientists.

Job Requirements

We seek applicants who hold a doctoral degree in neuroscience, genetics, biochemistry, biophysics, bioengineering, cell biology or any related discipline and encourage applications from physician-scientists. Individuals studying a broad range of problems in the nervous system at the molecular and cellular level are encouraged to apply. The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. Your demonstrated skills as a researcher should be paired with a commitment to develop world-class communication, leadership, teaching and mentoring skills.
