Lecturer II Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
University of Nevada Reno

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology invites applications for a non-tenure track Lecturer II position, with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2019. This position will be an integral component of the University of Nevada, Reno and the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources.

We are seeking a dynamic, career-oriented individual with demonstrated expertise to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biochemistry and molecular biology. This individual will be responsible for teaching and coordinating an undergraduate molecular biology laboratory course (BCH 406). The successful candidate will have an extensive understanding of the theory and application of modern molecular biological techniques, research approaches and bioinformatics. Additional duties for this position include undergraduate academic advising and research mentoring. Successful candidates will be expected to promote an environment of inclusiveness and diversity among department students and faculty. The salary and benefits for this academic year appointment are highly competitive.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

A masterís degree in Biochemistry or related field, and at least 1 year of relevant teaching experience at the college level.

Preferred Qualifications

A Ph.D. degree in biochemistry or related field.
