We seek outstanding applicants who have a demonstrated track record of teaching, professional achievement and activity, and service in psychology. We are looking for someone who could teach a wide array of undergraduate courses. This would include at least two of the following: introductory psychology, statistics, and research methods. Also, this would include being able to teach courses in clinical/abnormal psychology as well as courses in one of the following: developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, or social psychology. Past experience in empirical research is also welcomed. Finally, the ability to teach a seminar to graduate students on teaching in psychology is preferred (but not required).

The successful candidate is expected to develop and teach courses within the undergraduate curriculum, to maintain an active profile of professional activities in the discipline of psychology and/or its pedagogy, to perform university, public, and professional service, and to be able to work with students, faculty, and staff from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds. We are especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching, professional activity, and service.

Teaching duties will typically involve teaching six undergraduate classes each year.
