We are particularly interested in clinical scientists who can expand on our program strengths in psychopathology and addiction, with the preference for persons working in the areas of LIFESPAN DEVELOPMENT (e.g., child/adolescent psychiatry, pediatric neuropsychology) and/or DIVERSITY SCIENCE (e.g., multicultural psychology, health disparities, culturally-sensitive treatment adaptations). However, persons working in other areas of clinical science (e.g., clinical neuroscience, family therapy research, anxiety, and health) will be considered, if they present with a compelling record of scholarly work.

Applicants should have an active programmatic line of research, evidence of excellence in undergraduate/graduate teaching and beliefs consistent with a clinical science model. Candidates who have secured external research funding and supervised doctoral students are especially encouraged to apply.

The Clinical Area identifies as a clinical scientist program, is accredited by APA and by the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System and is a member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science. The program currently has 9 faculty, and approximately 40 graduate students. It houses the USF Psychological Services Center, which is an outpatient training clinic.

Strong preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA/CPA accredited program, including an APA/CPA accredited predoctoral internship.
