Two Full-time Biology Instructors: Ecology/Evolution & Microbio/Biochem

The Department of Biological Sciences at Florida International University invites applications from academically qualified and professionally experienced individuals for two non-tenure track, 12-month positions, one for Instructor of our required upper division courses, Evolution, Genetics, and Ecology, and one for Instructor of our upper division elective courses, Biochemistry and General Microbiology. To maximize opportunity and experience for our diverse student population, we value and seek diversity in applicants for these positions.
The Department of Biological Sciences is committed to developing novel learning activities that will prepare students for success in a fast-paced global environment. Ecology, Genetics, Evolution, Biochemistry, and General Microbiology are all high enrollment courses taught every semester. Teaching in other undergraduate upper and lower division courses may also be expected, depending on specialization and departmental needs.

The Department of Biological Sciences has 5000+ undergraduate majors, ~110 graduate students, and 56 faculty members located on two campuses (http://www.fiu.edu/locations/index.html), one in west Miami (MMC), and one in North Miami on Biscayne Bay (BBC).
These positions will be primarily located at the MMC campus.
