Director for Nursing Education

The Director for Nursing Education provides day-to-day leadership for the College's nursing program, CNA, and nurse refresher program in consultation with the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health Professions; and interacts with faculty, staff and students in a collaborative and collegial manner to facilitate and maintain a positive departmental culture.
The Director coordinates curriculum development in consultation with the Dean and faculty members, including program development, course development, curricular mapping, and updating of student outcomes; assures compliance for HCC programs with the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) and Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN); collaborates with staff and faculty to maintain standardization and efficiencies for all nursing program processes, including clinical schedules, clinical sites, contracts, health and background check requirements; and facilitates comprehensive program reviews for CNA, nurse refresher, and ADN, including analyzing and documenting program review data and presenting findings.
Other duties include assisting the Dean in budget development and management, including grants; and performing other duties as assigned by the Dean.
This is an exempt, administrator position.
A Master of Science degree with a major in nursing and three years of experience as a nurse educator are required. Applicants must hold or have the ability to obtain an RN license in Maryland.
Applicants will be evaluated on criteria including, but not limited to, experience in nursing program and curriculum development; experience measuring and analyzing student outcomes; demonstrated ability to coordinate compliant programs; budget development and management experience; demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to lead collaboratively and foster a collegial atmosphere.
Salary will be commensurate with education, licensure, and experience.
