Assistant Professor of Instruction (non-tenure track)

The Department of Journalism in the Klein College of Media and Communication at Temple University invites applications for an assistant professor of instruction (non-tenure track) faculty position focused on multimedia storytelling,to begin July 2019.  

The successful candidate will teach multimedia storytelling. A strong record of excellent university-level teaching is desirable, with experience in multimedia in the service of news and journalism, preferably in diverse settings. Especially helpful is experience with high school outreach or internship supervision. An advanced degree is preferred. Although the primary role of this position is teaching in our undergraduate and master's programs, many of our teaching faculty members are supported and celebrated when they produce scholarship or continue their professional work.

The Lew Klein College of Media and Communication is one of the largest comprehensive colleges of communication in the nation, enrolling nearly 3,000 undergraduate students and more than 100 graduate students. The university community includes nearly 40,000 students in the region and at several international campuses. The journalism department has over 400 undergraduate majors.
