The Department of Statistical Sciences in the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time teaching-stream appointment in the area of Statistical Computation and Statistical Collaboration. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream with an expected start date of July 1, 2019.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have at least a Masters degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline by the time of appointment. A PhD, by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter, is preferred. Candidates must also have experience in teaching a variety of University level courses in statistics with a significant computational component; have experience in collaborating on data analysis with non-statisticians; and have a commitment to pedagogical research and professional development. We seek exceptional candidates who complement and strengthen our existing departmental strengths.a
