For the first position, the Dept especially welcomes applicants with an AOS in one or more of the following areas: epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of mind, philosophy of language, philosophy of action, or the history of these areas.
For the second position, the Dept especially welcomes applicants with an AOS in one or more of the following areas: aesthetics, ethical theory, moral and social philosophy, philosophy of history and culture, or the history of these areas.
In each case applications are welcome from philosophers working in different traditions and approaches: analytical, phenomenological, hermeneutical, etc. For both positions a serious interest and competence in the history of philosophy is desirable.
