The Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee invites outstanding scholars to apply for the Associate/Full Professor of Accounting and Director of Accounting Programs position, to begin in the Fall of 2019. We seek an outstanding research scholar and educator with a distinguished career of academic experience for this position.
As Director of Accounting Programs, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute strong leadership within the Accounting area as it relates to the accounting curricula and program innovation, student achievement, research productivity, and mentoring of junior faculty in both teaching and research. The director is also responsible for managing all activities related to the School’s AACSB Accreditation in Accounting. Additionally, activities will include interfacing with the regional business community to cultivate and maintain effective linkages with the School that enhance the value and relevance of the accounting curricula.
The Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business is known for superior scholarly research and academic programs. It has been accredited by the AACSB International since 1970, and earned supplemental accounting accreditation in 2016. It offers a full array of academic programs; specific to accounting, this includes the BBA major in Accounting, MS Professional Accounting (5th year for accounting undergraduate majors) and the MS Accounting (for non-accounting undergraduate majors). With doctorates from some of the country’s leading universities, more than 70 full-time faculty bring an impressive range of expertise to the Lubar School.
