Associate Professor and Athletic Training Program Director
SUNY Cortland seeks applicants for a 10-month, tenure-track faculty position in the Kinesiology Department at the rank of Associate Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience, starting in August of 2019. This position will serve as program director of Athletic Training which was recently fully recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Responsibilities also include administration of the transition to the newly proposed Master of Science Degree in Athletic Training and the discontinuation of the Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training; day-to-day operation, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of all aspects of the Athletic Training Program (ATP); teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in athletic training and/or other courses assigned by the department chair; engagement in scholarly activity; service to the department, school, college and university; participation in professional organizations; advising students and; working with the Office of Admissions in the recruitment of students into the ATP.
