Instructor or Assistant Professor, Web and User Experience
Weber State University
Individual will teach core undergraduate topics in Web and User Experience with an emphasis on courses in frontend and backend web development, user experience, design concepts, and web architecture.
For a tenure-track appointment, applicants must have a minimum of a PhD degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
For a non-tenure-track appointment, applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelorís degree in Computer Science, Web Development, User Experience, or related discipline. For non-tenure-track appointments, transition to tenure track would require approval of the Dean and Department Chair based on sufficient evidence of academic qualifications and performance. Instructor (non-tenure track) positions are renewable by separate contract at the sole discretion of the university.
The applicant must have at least two years of applicable work experience.
Seeking applicants with:
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with students, staff, and faculty peers.
Preference will be given to applicants with university-level teaching experience, as well as those with additional work experience and additional teaching experience in Web and User Experience and Computer Science programs similar to that at Weber State University.
Instructor positions are renewable annually at the sole discretion of the university.
