The Patient Simulation Specialist position is a full-time professional/managerial position. The successful candidate will assist with maintaining a state of the art simulation-learning environment to support the health-related programs. The Patient Simulation Specialist will serve as a resource for the design and application of clinical simulation used to educate and evaluate students and health care professionals which includes inventory of simulation forms, equipment, and clinical supplies; ensure suites are set up prior to start of each scenario; and assist with the maintenance of simulators. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, organizing and evaluating feedback of the clinical simulations to ensure adequate response and effective changes are implemented; participating in the application of learning strategies used in clinical simulation and learning by assisting in and facilitating simulation sessions and remediation sessions as assigned; and assists with the assessment of student learning outcomes providing clinical educational experiences for students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with a masterís degree in nursing and three years of experience in active patient care setting. Successful results of a criminal background check and drug screening are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer three years teaching at the post-secondary level, and one year of teaching using high fidelity simulation.
SALARY RANGE: $33,000.00 - $61,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable.)
