Ralph Faudree Assistant Professorship

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Memphis invites applications for the Ralph Faudree Assistant Professorship, beginning Fall 2019.
Appointments are for two years, with an extension to a third year based on demonstration of satisfactory performance in teaching and research.
Candidates should have research activity in an area of Combinatorics and Graph Theory with preference given to those who have received their Ph.D. within the last 3 years, have outstanding research record, and demonstrated teaching success. Appointees will be expected to fulfill teaching duties of 3 one-semester courses per academic year (a 2/1 teaching load), mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and pursue their own research program.
Applicants must be on track to receive a Ph.D. in the relevant field by May 2019 and must hold a Ph.D. at the time of the appointment.
