Risk Management/Insurance Teaching Faculty Position

Position and Job Responsibilities: The FSU College of Business is seeking to fill one specialized faculty position in risk management and insurance beginning in Fall 2019. The faculty member will teach four courses per semester at the undergraduate level and graduate level. Teaching responsibilities can include introductory classes in risk management and insurance, one or more upper division course(s), and one or more graduate course(s) as appropriate based on work and teaching experience. Some service to the department, college, university and profession is expected. In addition, candidates are expected to produce some scholarly works which could include articles in journals and trade publications, research reports, or book chapters. This is a non-tenured and non-tenure earning position.
The Department: The Department of Risk Management/Insurance, Real Estate, and Legal Studies houses nationally acclaimed faculty and programs in both risk management/insurance and real estate, and is home to the Dr. William T. Hold/The National Alliance Program in Risk Management and Insurance. The program and faculty are nationally ranked and are supported by two active centers.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of a master’s degree from an AACSB-accredited college of business and extensive work experience in insurance or risk management. A Ph.D. or equivalent in risk management or a related field is preferred. Successful candidates must be able to work with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students.
