Non-tenure Track Instructor/Assistant Professor - Industry, Alumni Outreach
The Department of Supply Chain Management (SCM) at Rutgers Business School invites applications for a non-tenure track position of Instructor/Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in SCM to begin on September 1, 2019.
The teaching load will be 8 courses per year. Service responsibilities include coordinating the department's industry outreach and alumni relationship; leading activities such as alumni database, alumni/partner newsletters, alumni reunions, and the department's social-media websites/groups.
Successful applicants should hold a master's degree in supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering, or a closely related discipline; have extensive industry experience at the senior executive level at major corporations; be well connected with various professional organizations such as ISM, APICS, and/or CSCMP; have established expertise in the various sub-disciplines of supply chain management; and be able to teach effectively in undergraduate and executive programs. Successful candidates should have a strong interest in collaborating with academic faculty and in pursuing external grants.
Demonstrated ability to teach introduction to supply chain, supply chain finance, procurement, lean manufacturing and six-sigma, or related courses is highly preferred.
