Non-tenure-track instructor Accounting and Information Systems

The Accounting and Information Systems Department of the Rutgers Business School at Newark and New Brunswick, Rutgers University, is seeking a full-time non-tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Instructor of Professional Practice for the Spring 2019 term.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching responsibilities consists of four courses in Spring 2019 on the New Brunswick campus. Responsibilities also include Department and University service.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: The Accounting and Information Systems Department has 40 full-time faculty members. The Rutgers Business School offers BS, MBA, Masters of Accountancy, and a Ph.D. program with two concentrations, one in accounting and one in accounting and information systems. The departmentís world-class scholars publish their research in the fieldís most prestigious journals, as well as in journals dedicated to emerging areas of accounting such as continuous auditing. As part of a business school at a major public research university, the Accounting & Information Systems Department is committed to the advancement of knowledge and preparation of future leaders for business and academic careers through scholarly research, teaching, and service.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must be professionally certified and/or hold the MBA degree. Terminal degree is not required and candidates are not required to conduct research. Candidates must have a strong commitment to excellence in high-quality innovative teaching in the field of accounting at the undergraduate level. A strong preference will be given to candidates who possess outstanding teaching record at Rutgers or peer institutions.
