The Information Security Manager position is a full-time professional/managerial position. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing institutional systems security awareness, security policy management and procedure development, and working to ensure compliance with internal and external standards related to information security. The Information Security Manager will serve as a liaison with various college officials regarding information and systems security; maintains, and facilitates procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards; participates as an advisor or participant in system and college-wide committees, outside organizations, and in training programs to keep abreast of pertinent laws, rules, and regulations; and sponsors and conducts security lectures and training programs for the purpose of raising awareness of responsibility of clients to safeguard data. Additionally, the Information Security Manager will develop information security baselines, investigate, recommend, evaluate, deploy and integrate security tools and techniques to improve protection of college assets and infrastructure, and work with the project teams to ensure the technical architecture, design and development of integrated college/technical systems and products are secure. This position reports to the Executive Director, Information Technology Services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelorís degree and four years relevant work experience. Progressively responsible experience may substitute on a year for year basis for the required degree and experience. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer the following technical certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Systems Security Certified Practitioner, or equivalent technical systems security certification.
SALARY RANGE: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable.)
