Associate Research Scientist
The Associate Research Scientist will ensure leadership in field of Electrical Engineering research specifically in the area of integrated electronics and photonics. The primary responsibility will be to work on the. design and development of cutting-edge integrated circuits for advanced photonic interconnected systems, including the design of extreme-low energy analog circuitry. He/she will also act as the Technical Lab Director for the Lightwave Research Laboratory. In this additional role he/she will develop research-grade high-sensitivity instrumentation to enable energy-per-bit measurements in support of our current large-scale research programs.
The successful candidate will have expertise in the development of advanced driver circuitry and low-power control systems for silicon photonics devices. Associate Research Scientists at Columbia SEAS are junior officers who have demonstrated innovation and excellence in research. Candidates are evaluated on research ability and required expertise.
