Responsible for the provision of counseling services for students, including personal counseling, crisis intervention, assessment and referral, as well as faculty consultations. The professional counselor assists with developing and implementing college-wide counseling programs.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Exceptional communication oral and written skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, and staff. Oral and written communication skills to interact with persons from diverse backgrounds. The ability to provide quality customer service.

Minimum Knowledge and Experience
Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, sociology, social work, or an equivalent field at a regionally accredited four year college or university plus two years of experience providing individual and/or group counseling for a caseload of clients. Licensure as a professional counselor, clinical social worker, or psychologist from a state or national certifying association.
