Job Details
The mission of the Learning Center is to support a diverse body of students as they develop their full academic and personal potential. To accomplish this, the Learning Center engages in campus-wide collaboration with all academic departments with the shared goal to assist students. The Learning Center promotes student success and persistence to graduation through a variety of services and programs.
Specific Duties
- Provide individualized instruction/tutoring in chemistry for undergraduate students. Consult regularly with chemistry faculty and the Chemistry Department Chairperson regarding course content, student issues, best practices, etc.
- Maintain records on attendance and grades in tutorial sessions.
- Make recommendations regarding student progress, retention, and serve as a liaison to other student support offices and services.
- Prepare and submit to the Director of the Learning Center a detailed semester/annual report delineating activities including programs, courses, numbers of students, student progress, meeting of goals, and analysis of such data.
