English Temporary Faculty Positions
Kutztown University

The Department of English at Kutztown University invites applications for multiple one-year, full-time temporary positions to teach classes in composition, literature, and/or professional writing for the 2019-2020 academic year.

In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth; and service.

Job Requirements

Required: A Masterís Degree in Composition and Rhetoric, Writing, English, or related field.

Preferred: Terminal MFA or PhD.

One year of college-level teaching experience required.

The 4/4 teaching load will include composition 100 and 200, and may include other courses depending on candidatesí expertise and department need. Salary and benefits highly competitive.

Successful interview, demonstration of teaching ability and experience working with diverse populations required.

Candidates who have experience working with a diverse range of faculty, staff, and students, and who can contribute to the climate of inclusivity are encouraged to identify their experience in these areas.
