Diagnostic Toxicology Faculty Position

Applications are invited from qualified individuals for a tenure-track faculty position in Diagnostic Toxicology in the Department of Veterinary Biomedical Sciences https://wcvm.usask.ca/departments/bio-medical.php .
We are looking for highly promising individuals with exceptional potential for success in clinical and biomedical toxicology whose research interests complement existing programs. Prairie Diagnostic Services, the animal diagnostic laboratory affiliated with the veterinary college, receives over 3000 toxicology cases annually. The successful candidate will assist with clinical diagnostic service, will provide teaching and training in the veterinary undergraduate and graduate programs in clinical toxicology and contribute to research and scholarly work.
The department aims to build on our strengths of collaborative and interdisciplinary teaching, research and service related to the health and disease of animals. This position addresses a need to grow our diagnostic toxicology expertise. The presence of a world-renowned Toxicology Centre http://www.usask.ca/toxicology on campus, with highly successful undergraduate and graduate programs, presents the unique opportunity to develop a pre-eminent graduate resident training program in clinical toxicology.
The Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM; http://www.usask.ca/wcvm/index.php ) is the premier centre for veterinary medical education and expertise in western Canada. More than 230 undergraduate students are enrolled at the internationally-recognized college that also includes the Veterinary Medical Centre, a state-of-the-art primary care and referral hospital; the BJ Hughes Centre for Clinical Learning; and Prairie Diagnostic Services, providing expertise in support of animal health diagnostics, teaching and disease surveillance.
The University of Saskatchewan has the widest array of health science colleges in Canada, including the WCVM, College of Medicine, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy and Nutrition, and School of Public Health. Salary bands for this position are as follows: Assistant Professor: $93,293 to $112,109; Associate Professor: $112,109 to $130,925. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
