The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center are seeking one (1) epileptologist at the assistant to associate professor level.
Candidates require comprehensive expertise in epilepsy, including all aspects of electroencephalography, CCTV-EEG monitoring with an emphasis on non-invasive and invasive presurgical evaluations, and the comprehensive medical management of patients with intractable epilepsy. At the Level 4 NAEC Epilepsy Center, available facilities and services include: a dedicated 8-bed adult epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) equipped with the state-of-the art equipment including automatic SPECT injectors, extensive EEG facilities with a dedicated ICU Monitoring EEG Service, multimodality neuroimaging that includes 1.5-7.0 T MRI, fMRI, PET, PET-MRI, SPECT, and a whole-head MEG System and a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Faculty rank will depend on experience and academic credentials. Candidates with interest in either clinical or basic science epilepsy research are encouraged to apply.
