Teaches students effectively in assigned classes and maintains office hours for student consultation in accordance with procedures outlined in the Dallas County Community College Board Policy Manual and/or agreed upon with immediate supervisor.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated skills in successfully working with diverse populations through experiences such as formal training and past work experiences. The ability to provide quality customer service.
May be required to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Minimum Knowledge and Experience
Masterís degree or higher in the teaching discipline or Masterís degree or higher with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline). One year of demonstrated teaching experience required. Official transcripts will be required. ***Will be subject to a criminal background check.† Some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check.***
Additional/Preferred Skills: The candidate must have an Associate in Applied Science degree or higher in Welding Technology or a closely related field with at least three years of verifiable industry experience.† Certifications and additional training above the AAS is a bonus.† Skills and industry experience in Fabrication, Piper Welding and Fitting, Automated Welding and Cutting Processes, Additive Manufacturing/Welding Solutions, Weld/Welder Inspection and Certifications are a plus. At least one year of teaching experience or demonstrated skills at industrial training is preferred
