Teaches students effectively in assigned classes and maintains office hours for student consultation in accordance with procedures outlined in the Dallas County Community College Board Policy Manual and/or agreed upon with immediate supervisor.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated skills in successfully working with diverse populations through experiences such as formal training and past work experiences. The ability to provide quality customer service.
May be required to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Minimum Knowledge and Experience
Master’s degree or higher in the teaching discipline or Master’s degree or higher with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline). One year of demonstrated teaching experience required. Official transcripts will be required. ***Will be subject to a criminal background check. Some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check.***
Additional/Preferred Skills: Associate's degree or higher in Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology, Industrial Engineering or a closely related discipline, and demonstrated competencies with signed and dated document(s) detailing relevant work experience in residential and commercial HVAC setting is a must. Additional certifications, State Licenses, and awards are a plus. At least one year in a teaching or industrial training position is required. Various teaching schedules will be required. Early College High School and adult learners will be part of the classroom experience.
