Student Support Specialist

SMCC Midcoast Campus, Brunswick, ME
Anticipated Opening - Pending Classification Review

This position provides complex support and oversight to SMCC's Midcoast Campus, facilitating all aspects of the student experience as the liaison to all of the operational offices of the College. This position serves as the sole front line representative requiring a solid understanding of admissions, financial aid, registration, billing, student life, academic advising, academic policy and procedure. The position works independently and is responsible for the coordination of activities, problem resolution, schedules, resources, and coordination of services offered at the Midcoast Campus.

ANTICIPATED START DATE: June 1, 2019

STARTING ANNUAL SALARY: $32,884 - $34,887

BARGAINING UNIT: MEA Administrator, Level I

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associateís degree and 2-4 years of related experience required. Bachelorís degree preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: Strong understanding of college policy and procedure pertaining to admissions, advising, and financial aid, excellent organization and follow-thru skills, proficiency in MS Office Suite, detail oriented with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; working knowledge of Jenzabar EX is a plus.
