Sr Coordinator for Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation

Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Analytics and Planning, this position provides direct leadership and coordination of HCC’s institutional effectiveness, assessment, and all processes related to the Middle States (regional) and specialized accreditation for program areas. The Senior Coordinator works collaboratively across the College community to strategically advance academic, student, and College success by facilitating the use of institutional information to increase organizational effectiveness and efficiency; distributes and clearly presents data; and makes recommendations based on research in support of the College's strategic planning, assessment, and accreditation.
The Senior Coordinator consults with the executive leadership team and unit leaders to strengthen the culture of assessment and planning for the campus by assessing needs, creating appropriate assessment plans, and establishing metrics. The position provides consultation and training in the areas of assessment and institutional effectiveness; works with campus leaders on monitoring institutional progress on meeting key performance indicators; manages the maintenance and enhancement of the assessment management system; monitors data input into the campus assessment management system; monitors, researches and communicates higher educational effectiveness trends and evidence-based best practices; identifies areas of improvement for effectiveness; maintains the campus assessment management system by monitoring and implementing upgrades to the system; and coordinates with the College's IT and eLearning departments for necessary technical management and integrations.
The Senior Coordinator for Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation serves as the College’s Middle States Commission for Higher Education (MSCHE) Accreditation Liaison Officer, including data update coordinator, and remains current on all MSCHE policies and requirements; provides leadership, coordination, and monitoring of the College’s accreditation process; prepares and distributes information and follow-up reports required for the timely completion of MSHCE and other accreditation standards; and collaborates with and provides assistance to faculty and key administrators regarding specialized accreditation, including support of the college-wide Middle States Accreditation Standing Committees.
Other duties include participating in various campus workgroups, committees, events, and College life; and performing other duties as assigned.
A master's degree in educational research or a related field; a minimum of three years of demonstrated, successful experience in assessment and accreditation; and familiarity with MSCHE, federal and state assessment and accreditation policies and procedures are required.
Applicants will be evaluated on criteria including, but not limited to:
Experience planning and administering major, college-wide effectiveness surveys.
Demonstrated expertise in the development of survey instruments, questionnaires, and other studies.
Proficiency in leading and coordinating accreditation processes and requirements.
Experience synthesizing data for internal and external reporting requirements.
Effective communication skills, including documenting requirements and presenting key performance indicators (KPIs).
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with faculty, administration, and staff for accreditation activities.
Demonstrated ability to develop complex analysis of business processes that align with strategic plan goals.
Advanced skills in creating measurable goals that align with state and national benchmarks as required.
