D’Youville College

Located on the vibrant, diverse West Side of Buffalo NY, D'Youville is an innovative, private, coeducational institution serving 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

D'Youville is immersed in ambitious and exciting change initiatives to reframe traditional practices and structures to further grow enrollment, improve the health of the community, and profoundly impact student success. D'Youville seeks a dynamic Director of Marketing and team member who will lead strategic visioning, and support of the D’Youville’s initiatives, programs, and students.

D'Youville seeks a Director of Marketing who will be responsible for directing and implementing the market communications mission on the college in accordance with the objectives set forth by the President, Trustees, and the President’s Council to ensure the most positive brand image of D’Youville College to a variety of internal and external stakeholders. The Director of Marketing reports directly to the Vice President of Student Life and Enrollment Management.

In addition, Director of Marketing is responsible to plan, manage, and produce communications to market programs to prospective students and build the local and regional reputation. In addition, the incumbent is responsible to advise the President and President’s Council in all situations that involve marketing the college as a Best in Class institution. This is a highly specialized position requiring creativity, innovation, planning, and the ability to curate and disseminate content that both informs and engages prospective students and community partners. Also, requires a wide variety of writing and speaking skills, specialized knowledge and experience with the print and electronic media, media production, newspaper policies.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of (7) years of recognized experience in marketing, journalism or information services at a business, college or university and a master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university, or
  • A minimum of (10) years of recognized experience in marketing, journalism or information services at a business, college or university and a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university, or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training as indicated above; Higher education experience a plus.
