Assistant Professor in Religion and Food

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA, Tampa, Florida. The Department of Religious Studies invites applications for a full-time 9-month, tenure-earning Assistant Professor position in Religion & Food Systems.
Applicants will be required to teach graduate and undergraduate classes in Religious Studies, to engage in a full program of research and publication, and to perform university and department service. Salary is negotiable.
Minimum qualifications are expertise in religion, global food systems, and ethics; Ph.D. in Religion or Religious Studies from an accredited institution; evidence of significant success in research and publication, successful teaching experience in general and specialized courses; and promise of continuing excellence as a scholar and practitioner. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.
Preferred qualifications include expertise in Food Justice movements and experience working with oppressed agricultural communities in the USA and globally.
