The Ohio State University seeks multiple qualified candidates to fill multiple positions in the area of health economics and outcomes research. Ideal candidates will have expertise in economic evaluation (including costing, cost effectiveness analysis and program evaluation), outcomes assessment (including health state valuation, patient preferences and patient-reported outcomes), and health economics (including the analysis of claims-based data, generation of real-world evidence and health policy).
Candidates will be matched to vacant post-doctoral fellowships, scientist/research track, and tenure track positions within the growing programs of outcomes research and health services research within the College of Nursing’s Martha S. Pitzer Center for Women, Children, and Youth, and the College of Medicine’s Department of Biomedical Informatics (BMI). Collaboration with the Center for Health Outcomes, Policy and Evaluation Studies (HOPES), housed in the Ohio State College of Public Health, will also be possible.
We are especially interested in candidates with interests and experience in improving the health outcomes of women, children, and youth, policies to address opioid use disorders and opioid death, and in precision medicine. The candidate/s will contribute to the analysis and interpretation of studies using data from clinical trials and real-world data. Expertise in disease modelling and simulation would also be an advantage.

Qualified candidates will have a doctoral degree in economics, health services research, epidemiology or relevant discipline and will have demonstrated success in research evidenced by a track record of publication and, for senior hires, a robust trajectory of external funding. While the position will primarily focus on research, prior teaching and mentoring experience is desirable. Start date and appointment type (9- or 12-month) is negotiable.
