The Caine College of the Arts is comprised of around 70 full-time faculty plus adjuncts, 25 graduate students, and 800 undergraduate. The college offers MFAs with 12 emphasis areas and BFAs with 34 different emphasis areas. The Caine College of the Arts provides for a collaborative culture in which a unified "community of the arts" can thrive. This collaboration supports opportunities in discovery, teaching, and learning, connections across artistic disciplines, and expanded outreach partnerships and possibilities. The Caine College of the Arts brings together students and faculty for artistic study and a liberal arts education at a research university. Utah State University (USU) is a land-grant university founded in 1888. The university is a Carnegie RU/H institution with approximately 28,000 students (25,000 undergraduates and 3,000 graduate students) from all 50 states and 78 foreign countries.

The USU Logan campus is in Cache Valley, a community of about 110,000 located in a picturesque mountain valley in Northern Utah about 80 miles from Salt Lake City.
