Organization Profile

Founded in 1816, SUNY Potsdam, the oldest higher education institution in the State University of New York, has long been recognized as one of the leading public colleges in the United States. It has been ranked, consistently, in the top tier of public and private institutions in the Northern Regional Universities category of "America's Best Colleges" by U.S. News and World Report. Renowned for its internationally recognized Crane School of Music, the College is a center of excellence for music and the arts. Entering its third century, the institution continues to pride itself on academic excellence and serving an increasingly diverse student population-29 percent of students are from a diverse background, including students from 28 states and international students from 14 different countries.
