The Department of Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University seeks applicants for a full-time teaching position. This is a career-oriented, renewable appointment that is responsible for the development and delivery of courses primarily to undergraduate students both within and outside the major. These positions carry a 3 course load per semester, usually with only 2 different preps. Teaching faculty are also encouraged to engage in departmental and university service and may have advising responsibilities. Opportunities to teach graduate level courses will depend on the candidateís background. Extensive grading support is given to all instructors. The university has instituted a non-tenure track career path for full-time teaching faculty culminating in the rank of Teaching Professor.

Job Requirements

Applicants for the position should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field; applicants with a Masterís degree and significant relevant industry experience will also be considered. Demonstrated excellence in and commitment to teaching, and excellent communication skills are expected of all applicants.
