Graduate Counseling Faculty

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities of this position include teaching graduate-level courses at the masterís level and doctoral level across the Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Addictions Counseling and the Counselor Education and Supervision programs; supervising practicum and internship experiences, advising masterís and doctoral level students, engaging in scholarly activities, and providing service to the department, the university, and the counseling profession at the state, regional and/or national level. The position will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses in the eight areas of curricular experience required by CACREP to prepare all counselors and counselor educators. The Graduate Counseling Programs of Waynesburg University have the only CACREP accredited addictions-track program in Pennsylvania and is one of three universities in Pennsylvania to offer a CACREP approved Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS: A PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP accredited program is required. Specialization is open but Christian counseling or addiction counseling specializations are preferred. Additionally, applicants must hold or be eligible for licensure as a professional counselor in Pennsylvania. Evidence of quality teaching, scholarly research, clinical experience and strong supervision skills is required. We seek individuals with a strong background in diversity, multiculturalism and leadership activities in Counselor Education.
