Clark University’s Facilities Management Department seeks to fill the position of Facilities Operations Coordinator. The successful candidate will work closely with the Assistant Director of Facilities Operations to support all Facilities Management activities. This position is the initial point of contact for Facilities Management for all general inquiries and responsible for the distribution of incoming work requests to the appropriate area or trade. As the initial point of contact, the Facilities Operations Coordinator’s primary functions are to coordinate and provide coverage of the reception area for Facilities Management and provide general support services for Facilities Management operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
Included in a range of responsibilities, the Facilities Operations Coordinator will assist the Assistant Director of Facilities Operations in all aspects of project implementation as needed. The incumbent will provide professional reception and dispatch coverage for the Facilities Management main office, including but not limited to receiving and distributing calls, 2-way radio transmissions, mail, email and walk-in customers; train, schedule and support student staff; set up, maintain, and organize department's central files. Using a Computerized Maintenance Management Software. Prepare, maintain and distribute lease agreements, letters, emails and other contract documents. Coordinate all Facilities Management activities, work direction, and support systems, including special projects and events as well as other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent. An associate’s degree in business or communications is preferred. 2 years’ experience in facilities management/services and demonstrated customer service excellence in an office, call center is preferred. The successful candidate must have demonstrated ability to work and communicate professionally, verbally, and in written form with internal and external customers. Ability to respond and/or manage responses to facility emergencies, University closings and special events during nights, weekends and holidays.

Technical qualifications include ability to use Microsoft Suite products. Knowledge of building and facility management, maintenance operations, and maintenance management software (CMMS) is desired.

Physical Requirements include the ability to walk, stand or sit for long periods of time, climb stairs and the ability to occasionally lift 25lbs.

Information and Application Process Instructions

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, 12 month position from 8:00 am -5:00 pm (Monday-Friday) with an anticipated hourly rate between $15.50-$16.50 and excellent benefits, which include employee and family tuition benefits, vacation, generous retirement plan, free use of campus fitness center and many more.
