Job Details

HRIS

  • Provides technical support and resolves issues.
  • Creates standard and ad hoc reports and dashboards as needed.
  • Performs configuration changes in system.
  • Serves as a project lead for system enhancements.
  • Creates functional/technical specifications as well as test cases and scripts.
  • Oversees the auditing and maintenance of employee records, including personnel status updates, terminations and new hires.
  • Manages system security for the administrator group, manager self-service and employee self-service.
  • Creates and utilizes BI reports and data queries to authenticate integrity of employee information.
  • Programs and documents the workflow process.
  • Assists with preparing annual salary review data and spreadsheets, validates and imports new salary information into HRIS.
  • Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and Company policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Keep abreast of Company policies and procedures as well as current developments in benefit plan administration, accounting and auditing, and human resources and applicable labor regulations including, but not limited to, Non Discrimination Testing, Section 125 and Section 105 Plans, ERISA, FLSA, HIPAA, FMLA and COBRA, 403B to ensure compliance.
  • Fulfills all governmental regulatory mandates and ensures filings are performed as required.
  • Manage Safety and WC programs
  • Manage quarterly audits of Benefit plans
  • Manages Leave of Absence- Disability/FMLA/WC
  • Explains benefit programs and provides material to employees
  • Prepares notifications for status changes and eligibility/loss of benefits
  • Oversees/Coordinates open-enrollment meetings; works closely with Broker/ Carriers on plan year changes and open enrollment meetings, prepares benefit information flyers/brochures for education/information on benefit offerings
  • Processes monthly entries for Pension (non-union), and prepares for annual audit of plan

Other Job Duties

  • Works with Executive Director of HR and HR Manger on other areas of business
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Strong knowledge of HR business processes and applicable laws
  • Effective consultative, facilitation, and project management skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple, competing, and high priority projects with varying deadlines
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement

  • Strong communication
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Windows- Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Proficiency in analyzing data for various needs of the business
  • Proficiency in developing reports to meet the needs of the Human Resources department as the business
  • Experience with implementation of HRIS/Payroll systems
  • Experience with Benefits compliance- 403B and Benefits
  • Ability to present various aspects of Human Resources to business and employees
  • Ability to identify system impact for small and large-scale initiatives
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Ability to function well in fast-paced environment

Job Specifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required

Experience: 4-6 years experience in a business environment, 4-6 years experience in human resources preferred
